AN ARMED robber raided Berwick’s Bacbeech Surf Shop in Blackburne Square about 2pm on Thursday, 5 January.
Police said a man entered the shop armed with a longhandled kitchen knife and demanded cash.
Police said he then ran into Lyall Road.
Shop manager Greg McLeish said the bandit was wearing a beanie and false beard.
“He threatened a shop assistant and got away with some cash,” he said.
Noone was injured in the holdup.
