Scott slots a super 12

FORMER Springvale and Beaconsfield senior coach Scott Sutherland went on a goalkicking spree with 12 against ReservoirWest Preston to help Beaconsfield Superules to its fifth win for the season at the weekend.
Beaconsfield is on top of the ladder undefeated.
Lalor’s ground was in perfect condition and Beaconsfield showed it meant business from the first bounce.
It took three minutes for Sutherland to post his first major and by the eightminute mark had three on the board.
The midfield, through McGavigan, Sloan, Hamilton and McKenna was on fire and did not lose a centre clearance for the term.
Treasure and Blackburn both chipped in for goals during the term and at quarter time Beaconsfield had a handy fivegoal lead.
With some changes made at quarter time to rotate players, Beaconsfield did a demolition job on the opposition, posting seven goals for the term.
Sutherland helped himself to a further four goals to have seven by the half.
At halftime, Beaconsfield led 12.4.76 to ReservoirWest Preston 0.2.2.
ReservoirWest Preston came out with a little more vigour in the third term and posted the first two goals.
This was only a slight hiccup, as Beaconsfield then went on and kicked another six goals for the quarter.
Turner had a purple patch and posted three, while Sutherland was doing as his pleased at fullforward, kicking another two and giving him nine at threequarter time.
Instructions were to give Sutherland every opportunity to kick 10 and this was carried out perfectly as within the first two minutes he posted his 10th.
Wilson at centre halfforward was a focal point and provided plenty of options with Gubbins and Ward playing good supporting roles.
