POLICE are calling for witnesses to an aborted attempt to steal building materials from a construction site in Pakenham last week.
Pakenham CIU is hoping to hear from anybody who saw a white utility and trailer around Blackwood Drive last Monday evening. Police said somebody had reported seeing suspicious activity in the area. It appeared the thieves were disturbed while in the process of taking materials from the house under construction.
Meanwhile, a Yamaha Pee Wee 50cc minibike was stolen from a house in Beaconsfield Avenue, Beaconsfield last Thursday. The bike was valued at $1000. Anyone with any information is urged to contact Pakenham police on 5941 1033.
