Tough chase for Lions

PAKENHAM faces a mammoth 308 run chase against Pakenham UpperToomuc this week.
The Lions won the toss and sent PUT into bat and it got off to a flying start, making 2/66 off 17 overs.
Partnerships formed from this point on with sensible batting by the Yabbies’ middle order.
Pakenham fought back after tea with Dale McCraw getting two wickets in a row and bringing the Lions back into contention.
The rain fell and the bowling became tough and the Lions threw everything they had at the Yabbies to no avail.
The stars of the day were Dale McCraw (5/64 off 21) overs and Chris Smith PUT (105 not out).

Losing the toss and bowling at Pakenham UpperToomuc, the Lions got off to a great start. Mark Shelton (3/8) and Thushan Fernando (3/35) bowled well to have the Yabbies at 6/30.
They then got away from the Lions to end the day on 6/126. The game was washed out after 38 overs and will be an interesting finish this week.

Pakenham won the toss and elected to bat. At tea the Lions were struggling at 6/78, but a spirited fight back saw them all out for 199. Dave Selby made a magnificent 81, with Gary Sewell backing him up with 37 runs.

Pakenham got the points due to Clyde forfeiting the match.

Pakenham won the toss and sent Beaconsfield in to bat. Matt Robinson, took four wickets off his eight overs.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 15

Playing at Upper Beaconsfield, the Lions lost the toss and were sent in to bowl. After a good performance the Lions got Upper Beaconsfield all out for 75 in the 24th over. Phil Ross (3/9) Jarryd Davies (2/10) and Chris Connelly (1/0) were the best of the bowlers.
The Lions then had to face 13 overs and losing a quick wicket finished 1/40.
Broderick Selby batted well for 32.
