CAILEN Parker from Emerald Black dominated the under17 bowling figures with the superb figures of 6/13 from five overs against Clyde at the weekend.
The grade’s leading allrounder was Merinda Park’s Andrew Martin, who captured the excellent figures of 4/10 from eight overs against Officer and later scored 52 notout.
Madison Andrews from the Beacy Bandits top scored at this grade level with 61 and many other players achieved a retirement score of 50.
These included Marcon (Beacy Bandits), Nathan Beaver (Merinda Park), Daniel Kitchen (Cardinia), Chris Chilcott (Pakenham), Sean Baker and James Howard (Tooradin).
Mitchell Golby from KilcundaBass was the under15 star of the day.
Golby clouted four sixes and ten fours in his outstanding innings of 83 against Cardinia, while the Bulls’ Travis Welsh captured 5/25 from eight overs.
Mitch Copey and Andrew Shears from Emerald Reds were other leading bowlers with their respective figures of 4/22 and 3/22 in their six over spells, while Tooradin’s Dave Tobin snared 4/4 from four overs.
Kooweerup’s Darcy Robinson also scored heavily, reaching 71 against Merinda Park Reds and many batsmen retired after scoring 30s. They included Luke Howard (Devon Meadows), James Parnell and Jaxon Fromhold (PUT) and Reece Suttie (Beacy Saints).
Top under13 performances included many players who scored 20 or better.
They included Cardinia’s T. Weinberyl, M. Welsh and D. Linford, M. Buntine (Emerald Black), Jordan Payroli and Lachie Gridley (Nar Nar Goon Whites).
The top scorer in under13 ranks was PUT Gold’s Jacob Bardwell who scored 34.
