WATOTO Children’s Choir gave two wonderful Concerts of Hope at 9am and 11am last Sunday. Hundreds of people in each congregation thrilled to the vibrant song and dance and gave generously to the loveoffering for the children of Uganda at the conclusion of each concert.
Prayer meetings are held at the church each Monday at 9.30am, Fridays from 6am to 7.30am, Saturdays 7am to 9am, and half an hour before each service on Sundays.
Wednesday craft group meets on Wednesday, 27 July from 12.30 to 3pm at Helen Stayte’s home. One hundred people committing themselves to paying $5 per week for 18 months will guarantee the continuation of chaplaincy at Berwick Secondary College.
On Sunday, 31 July, Ken Rayment will speak in both morning services on the subject of “Entering God’s Destiny”. Brentwood Park mentors will meet for lunch at Liz Smith’s home on that day.
In August, Sunday night’s church services at 6pm will be specifically geared to young people and relationships. Topics will include Desperate Dating vs Covenant Courting, How do I know when I find the right one and why get married?
Worship Ministry Recruitment takes place at the church on Friday, 13 August. Those not currently part of the team, but who would like to play music with other musicians, are invited to bring their instruments and voices. Starting time is 7.30pm.
Playgroup is organising an SPC products fundraiser and also a discount shops shopping tour on 15 October. For details get in touch with Sue Nicholls on 9796 1193.
Boys Brigade meets on Monday nights. United Youth on Friday, 29 July has Uproar from 7.30 to 10.30pm and kidschurch.fun is a new concept in children’s ministry and exciting things are happening with Super 2’s and 3’s, Rainbow Kids (four to six years), Kidschurch (grades one to six) and DNA (years seven to nine).
