VANDALS are targeting trucks and other heavy machinery at work on the Pakenham Bypass.
Pakenham Police senior sergeant Trevor Teer on Monday said headlights had been smashed on a number of vehicles working on the project.
Sen Sgt Teer said the attacks appeared to be the work of teenagers as the vandals were most likely riding pushbikes to get to the bypass construction site.
Police have warned residents to stay away from the machinery and earthworks, saying unauthorised access was illegal.
