Carnival a hit with the kids

FAMILIES turned out by the hundreds for the annual Casey kids carnival at the Old Cheese Factory Berwick on Saturday 3 March.
Casey mayor Colin Butler said he was delighted with the turnout to the free family event.
“The carnival celebrates children and young people and showcases the largest youth population in Victoria.
“This great community event is a time for families to get together and have some fun.”
Cr Butler said it wasn’t surprising that the carnival had continued to grow to such heights over the years. “This year’s lineup was the best ever with more stall holders and activities and included everyone’s favourite Humphrey B Bear,’’ he said.
Among the entertainment were Sindy Mu Chinese Fan Dancer, Young Generation Filipino Dancers, a Tony Bones show, Sugar and Spice, African Drumming Performance, Fred Penner Show, Lion Bushido Karate Academy, Diva Talent, Dance Lab, RnK Hip Hop and Gee Whiz. Bands on the youth stage included Bobby James, The Long Dance, Heartless Vendetta, Terry Pietrosanto and Lewis Haskins, Talk Host Show and The Duvtons.
