Cora Lynn struggles away

CORA Lynn came up against Warragul Industrials at the weekend but failed to come home with a win despite good A and Bgrade performances.

A GRADE

In miserable conditions it was a slippery game against the Dusties and both teams came out strongly. At the first break the Dusties were two goals up. The Cobras had a brilliant fourth quarter, applying great pressure.
Scores: Warragul Industrials 55 d Cora Lynn 45.
Best: Monique Hellier.

B GRADE

The Cobras had an excellent start but Warragul Industrials stepped it up and made them work hard throughout the rest of the match. Simple mistakes were costly although all players showed a great attitude and commitment to each other.
Scores: Warragul Industrials 50 d Cora Lynn 42.
Best: Andy Payne.

C GRADE

Cora Lynn started strongly in the first quarter, producing brilliant passages of play. But errant passes and bad decisions let the team down and Warragul Industrials capitalised on these mistakes, overrunning the Cobras in the second half.
Scores: Warragul Industrials 36 d Cora Lynn 23.
Best: Courtney Ball.

D GRADE

Cora Lynn had a tough game. There was some smart play by the midcourt Warragul Industrials with some useful intercepts but Cora Lynn failed to produce needed goals in the end and was beaten by a better team.
Scores: Warragul Industrials 61 d Cora Lynn 2.

E GRADE

Scores: Warragul Industrials 44 d Cora Lynn 8.
Best: E. Dillon, C. Healey.

F GRADE

The Cora Lynn 13andunder side worked hard throughout four quarters. The bad weather made it difficult for the Cobras, however they are improving every week. Cora Lynn’s goalers shot superbly in tough conditions.
Scores: Warragul Industrials 38 d Cora Lynn 14.
Best: Amelia Rovers.
