UNDER 16

UNDER 14

The first half was slow, Emerald shutting the Brookers down quickly. Emerald’s onballers and forward line were strong but Emerald did not like the pressure the Brookers applied in the last quarter. The first goal of the last quarter seemed to lift the Brookers, who kept going strong.

Everyone contributed to a great win by supporting and backing each other. Gembrook’s strong rucking with Jeff Clarke and Matt Dalgleish gave plenty of possessions to fast onballers and there were scoring options through Matt Berrill, James Kennedy, Jeff Clarke and Matt Dalgleish.

In a flowing game everyone stuck to the game plan and kept the ball up forward by putting the pressure on the opposition back line as well as manning up. Gembrook was inaccurate in front of goal but kept peppering away.
