PAKENHAM will be the place to be on Oaks Day, Thursday 3 November.
Racegoers from around the region are expected to dress in their best and enjoy one of the best days on the Spring Racing carnival calendar.
The Oaks Day meeting at Pakenham is a perfect chance for ladies, businesses, social groups or friends and family to enjoy all the action and excitement of the carnival. With great food, wine, fashion and a pamper marquee, the event promises to be fun for all, without the price tag of a metropolitan race day.
Pakenham Racing Club chief executive officer Terry Macdonald said Oaks Day would be a fantastic feature of the club’s calendar of events.
Racing manager Michael Hodge said securing Oaks Day for the first time was a real coup for the club. Allinclusive marquee packages are $88 per person, which includes a twocourse luncheon, beer, wine, soft drink and sparkling wine, admission, a racebook and tables of 10 in the Indulgence Marquee.
Mini marquees are also available at a cost of $200 for a table and 10 chairs and a three by three metre marquee.
Trackside enclosures cost $30 per person (minimum 10 people) and include admission, a large shade umbrella, garden table and chairs in an exclusive fenced enclosure.
