PAKENHAM Netball Club’s Agrade team avenged its only defeat this season with an exciting twogoal win against Tooradin on Saturday.
The game was tight all over the court and Pakenham had to steady and run well onto the ball.
Meaghan Atkins’ injury in the last quarter was a worrying time and the team had to work hard to hold on for the win.

It was a challenging game from the first whistle and Pakenham began erratically, but by halftime the players had settled into their own game.
Nerves played a key role throughout and mistakes happened because of the pressure, but it was an opportunity for the players to learn from them and improve.

Pakenham had an excellent win against Tooradin.
Teamwork and desire in the goal ring came from Carleen Johnson and Nat Norua who combined well and shot accurately. Accurate feeding by Sarah Carroll and Tahlia McManus proved steady play was always rewarded. All defenders played in front, not giving Tooradin many opportunities. Scores: Pakenham 41 d Tooradin 26.
