Pakenham Secondary College year 12 student Matt Hobson is a keen Geelong supporter and attended the Cats game against the Western Bulldogs at the Docklands Stadium on Saturday, in the hope of a good showing. He came home sadly disappointed.ON a perfect day for football Geelong played the Western Bulldogs under the roof of the Dome and we all expected a massive blowout Cats victory.
Unfortunately for all Cats supporters it was not to be, with Bulldog forward Wayde Skipper being the difference at the start with three firstquarter goals.
Things did not improve for the rest of the day.
Bulldog Ryan Griffin had a great battle with Gary Ablett Jr with Griffen taking the points, while Geelong’s Kent Kingsley tried hard all game, finishing with four goals.
But it was the dominance of Skipper with five goals that told the story and it was a sad and sorry trip home after Geelong went down by 35 points.
Sad Cats lament
