BERWICK Village Chamber of Commerce committee member Lee Baker is calling for tradespeople to provide balloons with their business names to give out to children.
Ms Baker said planning for Christmas shopping in the village and a visit from Father Christmas was well advanced.
“Santa will arrive by helicopter at 10am on Saturday, 17 December,” she said.
The balloons will be handed out during the promotion.
Ms Baker said last year about 2000 people were present to see Santa arrive.
“We anticipate these numbers again this year,” she said.
“We would like to give a balloon and bag of lollies to every child present as they stay on to chat to Santa in the centre of town.
“Santa will also be making the rounds of the village from Monday, 19 to Saturday, 24 December and we will hand out balloons and lollies to all children stopping to talk to him.”
