THE sheep exhibit will be a strong feature of the Berwick Show.
Despite the drought conditions the show is again expecting a high quality exhibit with exhibitors coming from many parts of Victoria.
Exhibitors express a keenness to be at Berwick because they believe it to be one of the best organised and conducted sheep shows outside the Royal Melbourne Show.
Stud sheep and fleeces in the short wool and long wool sections will be judged on Saturday and the black and coloured sheep and fleeces will be judged on Sunday.
The feature of this year’s sheep exhibit will be people demonstrating the ancient crafts of wool spinning, weaving and felt making. These demonstrations will be continuous over the two days and people will have the opportunity to tryout the crafts as well as ask questions.
