Workshop on customer service

By Jim Mynard
A CUSTOMER service workshop will be held from 9am to 1pm on Monday, 12 September at the Casey Civic Centre, Magid Drive, Narre Warren.
The session costs $55 and includes lunch, with limited places available.
The City of Casey, in partnership with the Australian Retailers’ Association Victoria Retail Institute, is hosting the workshop.
Casey’s acting manager of strategic development, Greg Bursill, said the workshop was ideally suited to supervisors, store managers and new business owners.
“In addition to promoting the foundations of excellent customer service, this session will help suggest principles that could add value to your business and review sales skills to improve your sales presentation,” he said.
He said the interactive workshop would cover how to provide excellent customer service, the role of the customer, adding value to your business, making positive first impressions, the art of active listening, dealing with competitors, and the process of the sale.
Further information and bookings can be obtained from Casey’s senior business development officer, Angela Smyth, on 9705 5200.
