EMERALD CFA has been honoured by a couple in Kinglake who named their baby after the fire crew that saved their home.
Marcus Blyth and Joanne McFadyen called their new daughter Emerald as a thank you to the firefighters who fought to protect their home on Australia Day.
CFA captain Paul Yandle was said to be overwhelmed by the gesture which was described by the grateful couple as the least they could do to say thanks to the fire crew who stayed with them until the fire passed.
