FOLLOWING the success of Beaconsfield’s under 15 (1) team in the grand final at Shepley Oval recently, the club’s under 12 (2) team repeated the effort, defeating Fountain Gate by 15 points.
Both sides started slowly and struggled desperately to make inroads. Beaconsfield led at quartertime by five points and at halftime by 19 points.
Fountain Gate came back to trail by 13 points at threequarter time and then scored the first goal of the final term before Beaconsfield steadied with a goal to complete an unbeaten season with a 15point victory.
