A GRADE played a seventable Mitchell at Berwick Bridge Club on Monday, 5 September.
East/west was won by Ellwyn Miskin and Lorna Naug. Shirley Collins and David Yoffa were equal second with Julie Day and Matthew Tiplady. North/south was won by George Ashby and Peter Ditchfield from Dianne Nicol and May Tayles. It was great to see May back at bridge again. Third place went to Pat Beazley and Bob Moorhouse.
B grade’s Howell winners were Doreen Rutherford and Charles Blanks. Second were Hilary Day and Peg Bellair with Rose Wyatt and Jim Dow third.
East/west winners of Wednesday’s 10table Mitchell were Bob Parker and Doreen Blight. Second were Heather Saunders and Ashley Davies with Gwyn Hughes and Win Roynon third.
North/south was won by George Ashby and Russell Williams from Roger Littlehales and Arthur Perera, and Michelle Leach and Joyce Kriss were equal third with Pat Beazley and Joyce Garton.
Thursday was a fivetable Howell and first were Heather Saunders and Shirley Collins. Ashley Davis and Brian Jones were second with Bob Parker and Ian Johnson third. Shirley Collins and David Yoffa won north/south on Friday. Second were Michelle Leach and Henk Van der Ven with Pat Beazley and Ellwyn Miskin third.
East/west winners were Bob Parker and Doreen Blight. Second were Adelaide Metzer and Russell Williams with Joyce Kriss and Dolores Hogan third.
