Goals galore for Tooradin

TOORADIN Netball Club’s Agrade side went on a goal spree on Saturday, crushing Doveton by 64 goals.
Taking the opportunity, Tooradin put some new systems and strategies into play that worked well and moved the ball swiftly into its attacking end.
The defensive line of Bess O’Loughlin, Emma Walker and Michelle Barnes held firm to create countless turnovers through the midcourt.
Tenneale Wells had a standout performance in defence, picking up countless intercepts and keeping her opposition goaler to limited shots.
In the second half, Tooradin continued its goal feast with Erin McMillan and Emma Walker taking every opportunity to shoot, finishing the last term with only one shot on goal missed between them.

B GRADE

Tooradin went onto the court with a positive attitude against Doveton.
With players missing from its lineup, new combinations were tried and Julia Rowan and Megan North stepped up in the defensive ring combining well with Louise Shackles who had the hard task of shutting down a spoton goaler.
The midcourt played great netball around the ring in the attacking end, passing and moving around the ring well.
Excellent shooting by all three goalers saw Tooradin come away with a win.

C GRADE

Tooradin was determined to make up for last week’s loss and did not let itself down with an excellent win over Doveton.
Under17 Dani Ayres was welcomed to the side and justified her spot with good rebounding and goaling alongside Alison Noonan.
The midcourt provided plenty of drive and dominated the court.
Defenders Brooke Splatt, Carla Henriksen, Lynette Longley and Gemma Jess created many turnovers.
Tooradin was rewarded for its efforts with its highest score for the season.

Tooradin teamed well for a big win.

Tooradin overpowered Doveton with creative play all over the court and defended strongly keeping the opposition to four goals.
The midcourt was dominated by Vicki Wilson, Sarah Kernot and Kaycee Bould.
Holly Booth and Carla Colorafi capitalised on every turnover, finishing strongly in the goal ring

In a thrilling match, Tooradin had to work hard against a determined Doveton.
In a lowscoring game, it was all defence from both teams with some great intercepts from Melanie Mantel.
The tussle was a tight one ending in a draw.
