Hint of a stronger Hawks presence

By Jim Mynard
HAWTHORN Football Club sales and marketing manager Jeremy Kaan has foreshadowed a strong presence in the south east for his club.
Mr Kaan, who was guest speaker at the Casey Business Development Group (CBDG) December breakfast meeting, said Hawthorn wanted ‘ownership’ of football in the eastern corridor.
He said, however, the club would be asking the community what it wanted for football.
Mr Kaan said Hawthorn had established a new base at Waverley Park, which was state of the art and well placed to service football in the region.
The business group held a champagne and chicken breakfast at Olivers on Clyde, Berwick to wind up a highly successful year.
A raffle for a stay at the Cumberland, Marysville raised $280 for Windermere Child and Family Services.
President Michelle Hext said the CBDG would make the amount for Windermere up to $500.
Ms Hext said the group was extremely pleased with the success of its year and particularly with the energy shown at the final networking breakfast for the year.
