Pakenham Christian Church

PAKENHAM Christian Church is an Assemblies of God church that meets every Sunday morning at 10am at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in the Dance Floor room.
The children’s program (Kids in Christ) takes place during morning worship.
The first Sunday service of the month is a family service. Visitors are welcome.
Last week Pastor Carl continued to minister on the subject of adversity from James Chapter 1.
We need to know that faith will always be tested.
When God called Abraham to live by faith, He tested him in order to increase his faith.
God always tests up to bring out the best; Satan tempts us to bring out the worst.
The Bible says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose”.
Paul also mentions in 2 Corinthians 4:17, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”.
Trials help us mature. What does God want to produce in our lives? Patience, endurance and the ability to keep going when things are tough.
Roman 5:34: “… but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance and perseverance, character and character, hope”. According to the Bible, patience isn’t a passive acceptance of circumstances. It is a courageous perseverance in the face of suffering and adversity.
