A MAJOR renovation of Garfield recreation reserve is scheduled to be finished by Christmas.
Cardinia Shire Council manager of community and wellbeing Fiona Hodges said the $350,000 project was a big part of the council’s capital works plans for 200506.
Ms Hodges said the project included an upgrade of the playing surface. She said plans for the renovation were currently in the hands of council units.
The 10week project will mean the ground cannot be used during summer but is expected to significantly improve conditions at Garfield.
