Santa’s coming to town

FATHER Christmas will arrive at Pioneers Park, Berwick at about 10am on Saturday, 17 December.
A Berwick Fire Brigade truck will bring Santa from the heliport to the park.
He will walk across the park to the rotunda where he will give the children balloons and lollies.
The Berwick Village Chamber of Commerce has arranged for Wally the Wombat and Berwick Carol Singers to provide entertainment at Pioneer Park to set the scene before Father Christmas arrives.
Already the village is buzzing with excitement because of the prospect of the important visit.
Wally the Wombat will entertain children while they are waiting to meet Santa. He is a special guest for the week of the Berwick Village Chamber of Commerce and chamber members will help him hand out balloons and lollies.
The chamber has also arranged for choirs and musicians to fill the village with Christmas music.
This is a great chance for families to come out to enjoy the wonderful Christmas spirit in the village.
Santa has asked everyone to be careful about fires because last year he missed his ride when the fire truck was called to put out a fire just as his helicopter landed.
