CAR parks at railway stations are not about to become userpays places.
Claims that the State Government was planning to introduce a $2 charge for parking at Pakenham and other local stations have been dismissed by state Transport Minister Peter Batchelor.
“The Bracks Government made a wellpublicised policy decision in late 2005 to abandon the secure car parking option, and to keep parking at all stations free for genuine public transport users,” Mr Batchelor said.
Car parks remain free
