BUNYIP’S under15 team, with a number of injuries, controlled the game against Catani until it kicked two late goals to snatch victory by six points at the weekend.
James Hynes had plenty of the ball and Paul Carmody was at his best before leaving the field injured.
Other players to excel included Sam Davies, Michael Ross, Josh Saik and Matt Elso before he too succumbed to injury.
Catani had the use of the wind in the last quarter and used it in the dying minutes to grab the win.

Taking on thirdplaced Catani, Bunyip went down by 44 points in a tough battle.
Bunyip’s 11yearold Matt Ross played a tagging role on the competition’s leading player, Luke Failla and shut him out of the game.
At quartertime, Bunyip had one goal on the board to Catani’s one point its goal coming from a sensational boundary snap from Pat Henwood.
Bunyip continued winning the hard ball and played aggressive football, but missed opportunities in the second and third quarter to kick goals and paid the price with Catani replying.
Bunyip’s backline was exceptional, working against bigger opponents and an inspirational piece of play from Sam Dowie in the third quarter saw him pull in a courageous mark.
At the final siren, the depth and strength of Catani came through to help them record an easy win.
