EMERALD Secondary College will share with others a $1.35 million State Government grant.
A joint initiative involving secondary schools at Emerald, Monbulk and Upwey means the schools will share six extra teachers for three years, and a facilities’ grant to build a flexible learning centre at each school.
Gembrook MP Tammy Lobato said she was thrilled by the funding, which would encourage students to stay at school longer, lift literacy and numeracy levels and boost student performance in senior years.
