I AM sure many people would have been excited to see the Socceroos winning a nail-biting match a few weeks ago to be able to play in Germany next year for the World Cup.
It was also interesting to see the crowd statistics for soccer are now higher than ever before, and its becoming a more popular sport every year.
My son would love to play soccer, unfortunately there is no soccer club in Pakenham nor is there an appropriate soccer ground to play on.
With Pakenham and surrounding areas becoming increasingly more populated, maybe council could consider planning appropriate sporting grounds to accommodate the ever-growing population.
I am sure there are many kids within the Cardinia Shire, boys and girls, who would love to play soccer and may one day become Socceroos.
