A BRIDGE over Cardinia creek is the symbol of shared history in the Casey and Cardinia municipalities.
Places of cultural heritage, signs, avenues of honour and possibly even private homes and landmarks will soon carry an official CaseyCardinia heritage logo.
The logo’s bridge feature is meant to represent the physical connection between the two municipalities which stand either side of Cardinia Creek.
Cardinia Port Ward councillor Doug Hamilton said the heritage logo was a sign of the cooperation that existed between the two areas.
“It’s a good thing,” Cr Hamilton said.
Emerald Ward councillor Graeme Legge led Cardinia’s official adoption of the logo at council’s meeting last Monday.
Casey council and the CaseyCardinia National Trust branch have already signed off on the final design.
