L’Oreal teeoff for ladies

PAKENHAM Golf Club’s Helen Aurish played a top round win the fifth annual ladies L’Oreal Day last Thursday.
L’Oreal Paris is a sponsor of Women’s Golf Australia.
Thirtyeight ladies competed in the event, vying for the prize of L’Oreal Paris skincare carepacks.
The L’Oreal Paris Ladies Cup is played at clubs across Australia, with more than 150,000 women golfers taking part.
The trophies were presented by Geoff Thom from Priceline Pharmacy Pakenham on behalf of L’Oreal.
He presented the winner’s carepack to Helen, who came in square, winning on a countback from Jan Creagh, who also received a pack.
The best nine out went to Joyce Garton with plusone with the runnerup being Bev Kerslake, square.
The best nine in went to Toni Owen, plusone, with runnerup Joan Rawson, minusone on a countback.
Nearest the pin on the second hole went to Toni Owen and Shirley Roberts won the eighth.
Marg Jackson was the winner of the nearest the pin on the 14th.

SATURDAY RESULTS
A twoperson Ambrose was played and the winners were Scott Milnes and Stojko Kresojevic, nett 59.
Runnersup were Albert Campbell and Nik Hock with nett 61.25.

Geoff Porter won the Dante’s Woodfired Pizza on the eighth and Chris Wheeler won the Hungry Jack’s on the 14th.
Oswald Van Brabant won the Pakenham Pizza 16th and Noel Bonne won nearest the pin, second shot on the B.M.R. Autos hole.
Elgas longest driveswent to Agrade’s Stojko Kresojevic, B grade to John Oswald and C grade to Gary Bau.
Raffle winners were Graeme Boyd and Wayne Caffyn.

JOCK RITCHIE MEMORIAL
On Sunday, 11 September the Jock Ritchie Memorial annual event was held.
This is in memory of late member Jock who worked tirelessly for the club in the early days when it relied heavily on volunteers.
Many of the original members remember Jock with great fondness and they were pleased to see Marj and family in attendance to present the trophies, which they donate.
The winners were Libby and Nick DeHey 70.25.
Down the lines: Shirley Roberts and Anthony Lillis 72.50. Elly and Ken Briggs 74 and Jean Hoare and Stojko Kresojevic 74.25.
Nearest the pins were won by two upandcoming juniors in Elly Briggs and Anthony Lillis.
All members were thanked for supporting the event.

MONDAY RESULTS

Angie Peluso was the winner of the Stableford competition with 40 points from Heath Barclay and Tasi Taito, both with 39.
Down the lines went to Graeme Steel 37, Phillip Barling 37, Greg Roberts 36, Rob Christie 36, Warren Butcher 36 and Noel Bonne 35.
Alan Borch won nearest the pin on the eighth and Eric Butcher was the winner on the 14th.

WEDNESDAY RESULTS

This was a Stableford competition and 70 players took part.
Eric Butcher was the winner with 38 points from Andrew Wraight 37 and Gavin Duncan 36.
Down the lines went to David Hoare 35, Alan Halleur 35, Brian Doherty 34, Brian Webster 34, Angie Peluso 33, Brian Degering 33 and Jack Munro 33.
Nearest the pins went to Damien Rhyne on the second and Nik Hock on the 14th.

FUN MUSIC NIGHT

‘Unchain My Heart’, a tribute show to the genius of Joe Cocker and Ray Charles will be held on Saturday, 1 October with a 6.45pm start.
Show and threecourse meal costs $42. Bookings are a must and a deposit is required.

CHARITY GOLF DAY

The Noble Park RSL is organising a charity day for the MakeaWish Foundation on Monday, 10 October at Pakenham Golf Club.
There will be a shotgun start 8am – report to starter 7.30am
Cost for Pakenham Golf Club members is $25. A Dutch auction and raffle will be held on the day.
