Stroll to push for a record

CASEY Council is planning to hold the world’s largest pram stroll.
Casey mayor Neil Lucas said the stroll would be held at Myuna Farm, Doveton, at 10am on Saturday 1 October.
Cr Lucas said the stroll was to recognise the challenges that arise after childbirth, including social isolation. He invited new mums to join the pram stroll in order to meet other parents and to exercise in the fresh air.
The event will be held concurrently at 12 locations across Victoria.
“The City of Casey has one of the largest populations of young children in Victoria,” he said.
“We hope as many new mums as possible will bring their families, babies, pram and picnic along to show their support for each other and help create a world record with the most mums, babies and strollers out together at the same time across the State.”
The event at Myuna Farm includes children’s entertainment, a guest presentation by Dr John Cheetham and the walk.
The day starts at 10am and finishes at 12.30pm.
