A COUPLE of Upper Beaconsfield’s finest teachers went to the other side of the classroom recently to inspire a new generation.
Lauren Cockerell and Rachel Bourke are teachers who attended Upper Beaconsfield Primary School and grew up in the community.
They were interviewed by a panel of junior school councillors to help them make comparisons between being a student to now being a teacher.
Back to School Day is run by the Education Foundation.
Program manager Adam Smith said the event provided positive role models which are essential for young people’s development.
