Theft opens door to warning

A DARING thief entered an occupied Pakenham house last week and stole a handbag from near the front entrance.
A 27yearold woman was coming down the home’s inside stairs when she saw a man open the unlocked door and grab her bag.
The man made off with the bag and its contents, including jewellery and a wallet.
Pakenham Police said the incident was a timely reminder for people to lock their homes even when they were inside the property.
