Young Roos show grit

OFFICER Kangaroos’ under10 white team fought hard against a strong Cranbourne yellow to go out of the finals by six points at the weekend.
The first half was a titanic struggle with neither team able to break free and the wind playing havoc with the players’ judgment.
In the third quarter, kicking with the wind, the Kangaroos made some positional changes to great effect, kicking three goals to Cranbourne’s one point.
The last quarter saw a bigger and more experienced Cranbourne gain the upper hand.
It was a great effort by the team, considering it was its first season of competitive football.
Coach Darren Oates thanked all the players for their efforts in the finals and the season.
Scores: Cranbourne 3.7.25 d Officer Kangaroos 3.1.19.
Goals: Andy Moxham 2, Tyson Bluett 1.
