LIBERAL candidate for Gembrook Simon Wildes said he had received an outstanding response to his call to eliminate the Enterprise AvenueClyde Road bottleneck in Berwick.
Mr Wildes said nearly 2000 people signed a petition to get the works started.
He said that while he was pleased with the response, a common comment was that the work would never happen.
He said a Liberal government would reduce the amount of spending on advertising and consultants.
“This and other savings measures would free up $500 million over four years, leaving more money for things like transport improvements,” he said.
