UPPER Beaconsfield downed Pakenham by only five games in the section-one match of the round on Saturday.
Sets were locked at 4-4 between the sides with the game tally the deciding factor.
Narre Warren Green continued to lead the ladder after a solid win over Harkaway with Narre Warren North’s victory over Beaconsfield, maintaining it as the main danger in second place.
All round-nine matches were completed in perfect conditions with this Saturday’s competition being the last before the Christmas break.
