LIZ SMITH was suitably thanked last Sunday for her dedicated leadership in Children’s Ministry for over 20 years. She now has a school’s ministry role and coordinates CRE, lunchtime clubs and KIDS HOPE AUS mentoring program at Brentwood Park Primary School.
Liz would like to double the number of mentors at the school as there are many “at risk” children needing the one on one contact that comes when a trained person spends one hour per week with one child. For more information on mentoring contact Liz via the church office on 9702 1011.
A combined service takes place at 10am on Sunday, 28 September.
Three things are happening at the church on Saturday, 17 September. Mothers nurturing mothers is open to all mothers who would like breakfast and some encouragement. It starts at 8am at the Cutchie home. Phone Anne on 5941 3545.
Caring for the Hurting is a seminar from 9am to 3.30pm. It is aimed at all those providing counselling, support and pastoral care within the local church. Bookings are essential. Phone 9702 1011 and cost is $10 or $15 per couple.
A bush dance takes place that night from 6.30 to 10.30pm. Cost is $5 or $10 per family.
M3Multi Media Ministries join in with those who are the technical support of many ministries within the church and the community. New ideas are welcome in lighting, sound and media. Contact person is Richard Stock on 5941 4625.
Learn CPR from a paramedic with Ambulance Victoria. Receive knowledge, confidence and life support skills, which could be crucial in saving a life or preventing serious injury.

Discount Shopping Tour on 15 October at only $30 is a playgroup fundraiser. Contact Lisa Thomas by next week if attending.

United Youth has rollerskating on Friday, 16 September from 6.30pm to 11pm and costs $15.
