BOTH sections of the Berwick Bridge Club played a Mitchell on Monday, 21 November.
B grade north/south was won by Nancy Carter and Dinny Cartledge.
Second were Corry Van Diemen and Pat Schelling, with Jo Carter and Jean Hyndman third.
East/west winners were Charles Wilson and Shirley Davenport. Second were Narda Baillie and Jean Francis, with Kath Willems and May Foley third.
A grade east/west was won by Heather Saunders and Helen Morris.
Second were Shirley Collins and David Yoffa, with Fran Kerlin and Claire Page third.
North/south winners were George Ashby and Peter Ditchfield. Second were Pat Beazley and Faye Rowlands with Dianne Nicol and May Tayles third.
A 13 table Mitchell was played on Wednesday, 16 November. East/west was won by Heather Saunders and Ashley Davies.
Second were Ian Heggart and Eric Hudson with Sadie O’Brien and John Watson third.
North/south winners were George Ashby and Russell Williams.
Second were Roger Littlehales and Arthur Perera with Bob Parker and Doreen Blight third.
A six table Howell on Thursday was won by Dianne Nicol and Alan Saultry.
Second were Shirley Collins and Heather Saunders with George Ashby and Annette Kirby third.
North/south winners of Friday’s 10 table Mitchell were Shirley Collins and David Yoffa. Second place were Dianne Nicol and Jean Carter with Marion Anderson and Pat Beazley third.
