TREES and shrubs destroyed on a property in Garfield must be replaced, the State Planning Tribunal has ruled.
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal recently ordered the people responsible for illegally removing vegetation from a block of land in Railway Avenue to repair the damage.
Cardinia Shire Council had lodged an application for an enforcement order with the tribunal.
VCAT deputy president Helen Gibson after a hearing on 23 September gave the people responsible 60 days to submit a landscaping plan.
It must provide details of the number, size and species of indigenous trees, shrubs and understorey to be planted where the vegetation had been destroyed.
