Choir representatives presented an a capella item to the council, before the start of its 5 September meeting.
Casey mayor Kevin Bradford said the songsters were invited to mark the choir’s 20th anniversary.
He said it was recognised as one of the best junior choirs in Australia, and the City of Casey acknowledged the passion, talent and commitment of founder Jean Heriot.
Mrs Heriot has been an educator, mentor, and confidante to the children.
Cr Bradford presented a certificate of appreciation to the choir and to Mrs Heriot.
