Council nod for childcare centre

A NEW childcare centre is to be developed in Kooweerup.
Cardinia Shire Council approved plans for a 55berth centre in Rossiter Road.
The proposal prompted eight objections, but four were later withdrawn.
Objectors claimed the childcare centre was an overdevelopment of the site.
Councillors agreed with shire planning staff that the proposal should be supported.
Councillors shared residents’ concerns about parking but believed increasing the number of onsite spaces would solve any problems.
