Couple takes cash from till

A DECEPTIVE couple has targeted a homewares shop in High Street Berwick, making off with cash from the till.
The man and woman entered the store about 4.45pm on Wednesday, 27 July.
The woman distracted store staff while her male partner stole the contents of the till.
Detective Sergeant Ian Wilcox of the Narre Warren CIU said the couple was confident in their approach and were smooth operators.
“Unless they’re caught they’ll do more,” he said.
“It’s probably timely to alert people to keep their cash drawers and tills locked and secured at all times.”
