RED Cross Calling will be held earlier next year.
Dates for the traditional March Red Cross Calling have been brought forward to Monday, 13 February from Monday, 13 March because of the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Casey Red Cross Calling began planning for the annual event at a meeting in the civic centre on Wednesday, 8 December.
The 20 people at the meeting set an appeal target of $55,000 held for the 2006 appeal.
Casey Red Cross Calling chairman, Norma McCausland, said offers of help came from a wide range of community organisations.
Mrs McCausland said the committee would like to hear from people keen to help, especially those willing to spend two hours knocking on doors.
People interested in joining the appeal should phone Mrs McCausland on 9707 1576.
