Garden expo to bloom in park next month

THE Friends of Wilson Botanic Park’s Garden Expo ‘05 will be held on Saturday and Sunday 22 and 23 October.
Expo displays will be set around the Anniversary Lake at the park with access from sealed pathways offering plenty of shade and shelter.
Displays of plants and equipment are designed for both the new and established gardener.
These will include a variety of trees, shrubs and plants, ceramic pots and water features, instant lawn, paving and pebbles, garden equipment, lawn mowers, leaf blowers and edge trimmers.
Also on show will be the latest gutter protections, garden safety and cleaning equipment, garden furniture, shade structures, gazebos, umbrellas, an innovative rotary system for seed boxes, and outdoor seethrough blinds. The expo is designed as a family activity in the beautifully landscaped Wilson Botanic Park, Princes Highway, Berwick.
The expo will be open from 9am to 4pm on each day with admission costing a gold coin.
One child can win a $100 voucher to Kmart Garden Super Centre, Fountain Gate, on each day.
Alfresco dining will be available with beverages and snacks for sale throughout the expo.
Parking will be provided at and around Wilson Botanic Park.
When the park is full alternative parking will be available at Monash University in Clyde Road, Berwick, and serviced by a complimentary shuttle bus throughout the event.
