Get together for a party

AUSTRALIA Day functions will be held at several locations across the City of Casey.
Casey mayor Colin Butler said Australia Day provided an opportunity to unite and celebrate the national day.
“This is a great time to gather with friends and family, meet up with neighbours, and appreciate how lucky we are to live in Australia,” he said.
Doveton will feature live performances, sports demonstrations, healthy food stalls and jumping castles at Betula Reserve in Kidds Road from 10am to 3pm
Tooradin will have a sunset openair cinema at Sawtell’s Inlet, face painting, live entertainment and stalls from 7 to 11pm.
Pioneers Park Berwick will be the venue for live performances, interactive activities, and food stalls from 11am to 3pm.
Other events include Australia Day Music at Wilson Botanic Park, Berwick, with the Teskey Brothers’ funky rhythm and blues, and the Reflections Band playing Australian music.
Casey Fields will host a free sausage sizzle and there is a jumping castle from 10am to 1pm. Or try sport activities, fishing or the bungee run.
The duallane bungee run is both adults and children.
A free heritage exhibition will be at the Old Cheese Factory, Berwick, from 10am to 4pm, and the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne — Australian Garden will have free tastings at the Garden Shop and free entry for children under 16.
Entry is at 1000 Ballarto Road, Cranbourne, from 9am to 5pm, with admission fees adults $9, concession $6.75.
