KOOWEERUP’S E and Fgrade sides easily accounted for Nyora at the weekend.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:E GRADE

Misty rain and a slippery surface meant Kooweerup played a tentative game against Nyora during the first quarter. Megan Bugg passed well out of centre, to give Shanae Ingram and Sam Belsham shots at goal.
Solid play by Kooweerup defenders by Kassy Male and Mariah Bell and the Nyora defence forced many turnovers, while Stephanie Kelly played well in the centre.
In the second half Kooweerup made plenty of changes, moving Mariah Bell and Laura DeHommell into goals and Shanae Ingram to goalkeeper. Megan Bugg in the centre provided Emily Harrison and Stephanie Kelly with plenty of the ball.
All the Kooweerup players put in a good effort during the last quarter with some strong passages of play right across the court.
Scores: Kooweerup 22 d Nyora 9.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:F GRADE

The game started in difficult weather and centre breaks were pretty even, with the defence of Brooke Radings and Jess Chapman keeping Nyora at bay.
Kooweerup lifted the tempo after half time and Chelsea Ingram fed off the centre clearances well and gave Marie Osborne and Alex Bell plenty of opportunities. Kooweerup scored 10 goals in the third quarter and also played well during the last quarter. Rachel Hawkins gained confidence at wing defence and a return of 19 goals after halftime was a good effort by the Demons.
Scores: Kooweerup 32 d Nyora 10.
