Kooweerup sneaks home

Ken Moore
KOOWEERUP withstood a strong Bunyip lastquarter revival to win the EDFL fourths grand final by two points.
The Demons looked well in charge before the Bulldogs rammed on three consecutive goals late in the game to almost steal victory.
Kooweerup received good drive from Jack Carson, who won the VCFL medal for best on ground. Carson received good support by centre half forward Shaun Marusic, utility Ron Bright and wingman Tim Pellissier and Hayden Watson showed good skill and offered plenty of drive.
It was Bunyip’s first loss for the season. Michael Ross and Matt Runnalls were in everything for the Bulldogs, James Walker was the best of its forwards and Aaron Goldsmith solid in defence.
