Lucky pair walks away after crash

TWO drivers have miraculously walked away from a crash between a semitrailer and a utility on the Princes Highway last Friday.
Police said they were amazed nobody was seriously hurt or even killed in the crash near Garfield.
The truck was travelling towards Warragul, on its way to deliver bread in Traralgon, when it collided with the utility as it crossed the highway at Martin Road.
The truck rolled several metres and came to rest on its side, blocking both eastbound lanes.
The crash happened in wet and foggy conditions about 3.20pm.
Traffic travelling east on the highway was interrupted for several hours while police and emergency service workers cleared the scene.
Traffic was diverted through Garfield while a heavy crane was called in to lift the truck upright before it could be towed away.
The overturned truck spanned the width of the eastbound lane of the highway.
Country Fire Authority units from Bunyip and Tynong and the Pakenham Road Rescue Unit combining Pakenham SES and Nar Nar Goon CFA also attended.
Pakenham police Traffic Management Unit is investigating the collision.
