Raffle a Rotary success

ROTARY Club of Lang Lang members have been hard at work selling raffle tickets for a trailerload of firewood to be drawn this week.
Members had the trailer, with its valuable load, on show in Main Street, Lang Lang, Saturday.
Profits from the raffle will go to Rotary projects.

REMEMBER snuggling up in the car at the drivein?
That late, great cinematic experience is coming to Bunyip. Bunyip Primary School is hosting a screening of the family movie Madagascar this Friday.
Gates open at 6pm and the movie starts at 7pm. The cost is $20 per car, and soft drinks, tea and coffee, glowsticks, chocolate, a sausage sizzle and, of course, popcorn, will be available.

DAD can drool or dream over the sensational range of cars while mum checks out the market stalls for bargains – or vice versa – at the Cora Lynn country car show and market on Sunday, 2 October.
The usually quiet town will thrill to the excitement of the first time event at the Cora Lynn recreation reserve.
All proceeds will go to support the reserve and the sporting activities it hosts.
Put together by hot rodders Dennis Jones and Terry Thomas, this is the first show of this kind for Cora Lynn but not for the carkeen pair, who have been a big part of organising the highly popular American cars display held at Gembrook for the past 13 years.
Almost anything goes for the car display.
There will be trophies for all categories and club plates will be accepted.
There will also be market stalls, including pot plants and handcrafts, as well as amusements for the children.
Display vehicles and drivers will be admitted free, while the entry price for other showgoers is $5. Children under 12 are also admitted free.
For market bookings call Andrew Bergmeier on 0407 093 657 and for show details call Dennis Jones on 0409 861 088 or Terry Thomas on 5968 4641.
