BEACONHILLS College has taken a ‘can do’ approach to fundraising for the 4C’s (Cardinia Combined Churches Caring) Food Bank.
Students from prep to year 12 recently collected almost 4000 cans of food for the charity organisation.
The 4Cs emergency foodbank in Pakenham is run entirely by volunteers and provides food to people in the shire who are experiencing desperate circumstances.
“Beaconhills has a proud history and commitment to community service and has been delighted to support the 4Cs emergency foodbank again this year,” organising teacher John Waterhouse said.
“The students thoroughly enjoy the challenge of meeting their ‘cans collected’ targets each year, knowing that their efforts support a much needed program in our local community.”
